Inclusive, encourage, bolster, counsel, inspire, and amazing are a few of the words that describe the Academy Culture we build together every day through our Core Belief system and practices.
Our Core Philosophy: Our staff provides a support system where the students can gain pertinent skills and prepare for life after middle school or high school. Our curriculum is designed to meet students’ specific academic needs as well as takes into account students’ personal strengths and limitations that best fit them within the structure and community of Humanex Academy. We do this by providing individualized instruction and extensive counseling support with the intention of helping students graduate, go to college or a trade school, begin employment, or pursue other endeavors. We utilize this individualized, solution-focused, multi-modality approach because of our proven success in developing responsible young people.
Our Core Belief: We strongly believe that each student can be a successful learner! Our small setting, intensive communication outreach, and personalized attention make for a caring and individualized environment that centers on strength-based learning for each student. Both middle school and high school students with academic, social, and emotional needs gain the necessary life skills needed to succeed beyond our Academy.
Our Core Mission Statement: The mission of Humanex Academy is to provide a high quality, caring, and well-structured learning environment for students with unique academic, social, and/or emotional needs where they can succeed in college and/or other independent pursuits after they achieve graduation.
Our Core Vision Statement: We envision a supportive and structured learning community where teachers help students expand their academic and social skills and graduate from high school. Our focus on academic preparation and emotional maturation develops each student’s love of life-long learning, knowledge of his or her academic gifts, good decision-making skills and healthy self-advocacy.
