Our Mission
Humanex Academy was founded in 1983, providing an effective alternative for middle- and high-school students who haven’t succeeded in other schools for various reasons, including large class sizes, pace of instruction being too fast or slow, lack of individual instruction, and inadequate supervision.
The specific mission of Humanex Academy is to provide a caring, well-structured learning environment where academically, socially, and emotionally needy students can develop the necessary skills to become productive citizens.
Our Philosophy
Our staff provides a support system where students can gain pertinent skills and high self esteem. The curriculum, designed to meet the needs of each individual student, takes into account his or her strengths, limitations, and learning style. We believe every student can be successful, given the right kind of support.
Humanex Will Help Your Student Succeed:
Humanex Academy is accredited by North Central Associations of Colleges and Schools, which is the same accreditation as public schools. As a private alternative middle and high school, Humanex teaches to the individual, and provides a learning environment that maximizes success. In addition, with our extensive counseling support, Humanex is the only program of its kind in the Denver metropolitan area. We have hosted interns from the University of Denver’s master’s counseling program for the last eight years.
